Eligibility Criteria

A. Admission for First Year B.E. Courses

  • A pass in the HSC academic or its equivalent or in the vocational stream with engineering / Technology vocational subjects or any one or two related subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, or any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu / Universities in Tamil Nadu.
  • As regards improvement marks, only the marks obtained in the first improvement can be used by a candidate to his / her advantage in seeking admission. The first improvement examination is the examination taken for the first time by the candidate, either in one subject or more subjects, after passing the qualifying examination.

    • B. Admission for Second Year B.E. (Lateral Entry):

  • Candidates seeking admission directly to the second year are required to have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or equivalent courses.
